哲香氛 ZHE Parfumé

這個案子的產品是香水，。很有趣的是，雖然是中翻英，但中文裡穿插了許多法文。這個品牌的名稱"Parfumé"就是法文，("parfumé"是香水的意思)，產品的標題"surpasse en beauté"是指無與倫比的美，其中提到的"Le Rêve dans le Pavillon Rouge"是指著名的紅樓夢一書，作者為曹雪芹。這個案子本身的挑戰性在於它運用了許多書中的人物和事件，因此需要做很多研究，才能確定最合適的翻譯，同時間，也用了許多香水行業的專業術語。

This project was a Chinese to English translation for a perfume product line. Interestingly enough, there were many French words/phrases intertwined, such as the brand name ("parfumé" meaning perfume in English) and product headlines (i.e. "surpasse en beauté" meaning surpassing in beauty or "Le Rêve dans le Pavillon Rouge" referring to the Chinese novel "The Dream of the Red Chamber" by Xueqin Cao.) This project in particular had quite a few challenges as it borrowed events and characters from the novel. Since there were many English translations of the novel, had to do quite some research to determine the best translation for the character names. At the same time, there were references to terminology related to the perfume industry.
